TSP is unsupported polycrystalline diamond product,which is manufactured by the same ultra-high pressure and high temperature techniques associated with other PCD products. It has extremely high wear resistance and high thermal stability, it can be thermally stable up to 1200°C for its binder is chemically inert and has a similar coefficient of thermal expansion to that of diamond. It is suitable for mining bits and oil drilling bits. Compared with natural diamond, polycrystalline has higher milling efficiency and lower cost.
